Happy New Year! 2020 is finally here and I couldn't be more excited! There's nothing like the start of a brand new year to make you focus on your health and wellness. While there are plenty of resolutions that will help you lead a more balanced lifestyle, I'm particularly fond of Dry January. One of the biggest reasons why is because I've teamed up with Seedlip Drinks to create cocktail recipes that have plenty of taste without the alcohol!
As a Chef, I know that a beverage's taste is just as important as the food's. The flavor combinations between a dish and a beverage are endless and key. Seedlip truly pioneered the non alcoholic spirit space and I’m so proud to be part of the journey!
I actually had my first non alcoholic cocktail with Seedlip at Thomas Keller’s French Laundry when my wife and I took a break from drinking. I couldn’t believe its perfect flavor, smell and just how delicious the pairing was with my food. I finally had my sophisticated and complex solution for an adult alternative.
Seedlip makes distilled non alcoholic spirits so that you can enjoy cocktails without the booze. They sell three spirits, each infused with their own unique spices and herbs. As soon as I tried them, my brain instantly got to work on creating recipes that would highlight each of their distinct flavors.
I have a very busy work schedule, a lot of people depending on me and 6 super fun kids. I need to be and want to be as present as possible. As you can imagine, I love the distinctive and exquisite flavor of a spirit but at those moments I want it without the buzz. This brand blows my mind! Their recipes are simple and fun too!
Over the past week on CORA-ntine Cuisine, I got to reunite with several friends that Nicole and I have made over the years. Our incredible guests included Maria Shriver, Sheila E, Debi Mazar, Chef Gabriele Corcos, Chef Karen Akunowicz and the Shirley Temple King! Many of the guests spoke of the importance of taking care of your health and eating foods that boost your immune system.
Hey y'all! This past week was one for the books. Not only did we celebrate Greek Easter, but it was also my son Caje's birthday! I got to chat with some incredible special guests including Cameron Mathis, David Burtka, Scott Evans, Chef Andrew Zimmern and superstar film director Tate Taylor! I'm going to share a few of my favorite recipes from last week and fill you in on some of the topics we discussed.
I've had so much fun on CORA-ntine Cuisine this past week. I got to chat with several special guests including Chef Ingrid Hofffman, Chef Dominique Crenn, Cake Wars host Jonathan Bennet and my partners at the Little Kitchen Academy, Felicity and Brian Curin. There's been one common theme in all of my chats so far and that theme is positivity.
