White Nectarines are one of my favorite stone fruits. When at the market, be sure to pick out nectarines that are on the firm side. When at home, be sure to store them in the fridge to give them a longer shelf life. There is nothing better than a cold, sweet, juicy nectarine.
At the Farmers Markets in California, we get our getting apricots right off the vine! Be sure to buy them a little firmer and let them ripen up on the counter. I don’t recommend putting them in the fridge, they will end up tasting like water. If you want them to get ripened up quicker, you can put them in a paper bag and leave them on the counter.
While strawberries are in season, we want to preserve them for as long as we can! The best way to do that is by storing them in a dry place and washing them right before you eat them. This will keep them from getting moldy.
